As part of Crafty Al’s (Alicia) Oh So Inspired Collaboration Team, we are doing something different this year (2025). In previous years we submitted card ideas for inspiration and then we voted to come up with one card for each month. Then we would use that card as our inspiration to create our cards. This year we are getting inspired by each other on the team and we each get to pick whatever card we want from their creations. In January we are starting off with Danni of Danni’s Dreams. Here is the card that I picked and also the sketch that she used.
I really loved the sketch. She also had recently created a card using the Painted Seasons 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’ Up! so that is the paper that I am using on my card. I added more layers to my card and you can find all the dimensions that I used below.
Notes: Remove “hi” from sentiment before stamping on top of the grassy hill. I stamped the caps and stems with Sahara Sand after I stamped off so that they would match the paper ones better. I stamped the caps again in Mango Melody and Poppy Parade. Fussy cut the gills (underside of the caps) of the Sahara Sand caps and adhere them to the Poppy Parade and Mango Melody caps. These are both popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The stems are stamped directly on the Basic White cardstock. On scraps of Basic White stamp the foliage by inking first with Lemon Lime Twist and then adding a bit of Mango Melody with a dauber so that they have a two-toned look and fussy cut them out. I adhered the 2-3/8″ x 1-1/4″ Poppy Parade piece to the top back of the focal point for leveling before adhering to the card.
