Today’s card is continuing to focus on retiring products. I saw this technique from Jennifer McGuire that she called Bold Background Coloring. The flower I used, from this retiring stamp set, could have been fussy cut out and applied to a black piece of cardstock, but if you prefer to color over fussy cutting, then this technique is for you.


Cutting Guide
- Basic Black Cardstock: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/2″ (portrait card base), 5-1/4″ x 1-3/8″
- Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/4″ x 4″ (2), 2-1/2″ x 2″
- Smoky Slate Cardstock: 5-1/4″ x 1-1/8″, 2-11/16″ x 2-3/16″
- Magenta Madness Cardstock: 2-7/8″ x 2-3/8″
